California Food Handlers Requirements

Effective January 1, 2024, SB 476 in California requires employers to pay for the costs associated with the training and testing for Food Handlers Card & Certificates. In addition to paying for the costs associated with the food handlers card training and testing, the employer must pay the employee for the time associated with the training and testing (2 hours of paid leave).​

3. Time to Complete 

From the date of your bulk order, your access codes will be available for 6 months and may be extended after expiration depending on the circumstances. Once a course has been redeemed or purchased onto a student’s account, the student will have 60 days to complete the course. The training program takes around 1.5-2 hours to study the course material and complete the test.
